You’ll need:
- plush yarn Himalaya Dolphin Baby, Yarnart Dolce or analogues (100% polyester, 100g/120 mt or 3,53 oz/131 yrds): 1 or 2 colors;
- 4 mm hook / US size G
- yarn needle;
- elastic band – approximately 15″
- thread and needle for sewing elastic.
Abbreviations (US terminology used)
- ch – chain
- slst – slip stitch
- Sc-single crochet
- hdc – half double crochet
- dec – single crochet decrease (crochet 2 sc together or do an invisible decrease)
- inc – single crochet increase (do 2 sc in next st)
- inchdc – half double crochet increase (do 2 hdc in next st)
- BLO-back loops only
Begin with yarn of color No1.
Make 20 ch:
- Round 1: beginning from the 2nd ch from hook: 3 sc in 1st ch, 17 sc, 3 sc in last ch, turn (on the opposite side): 17 sc (40)
- Round 2: 3 inc, 17 sc, 3 inc, 5 sc, 7 slst, 5 sc (46)
- Round 3: 1 inc, 1 sc, 2 inc, 1 sc, 1 inc, 17 sc, 1 inc, 1 sc, 2 inc, 1 sc, 1 inc, 6 sc, 5 slst, 6 sc (54)
- Round 4: (2 sc, 1 inc)*3 times, 20 sc, 1 inc, 2 sc, 1 inc, 2 sc, 1 inc, 6 sc, 7 slst, 5 sc (60)
- Round 5: (1 inc, 3 sc)*3 times, 1 inc, 17 sc, (1 inc, 3 sc)*3 times, 1 inc, 5 sc, 7 slst, 5 sc (44) + 1 slst, no +1 sist BLO, and at the same time change the yarn to color No2. lo1, and hide the tail of the yarn inside.
