Handmade No-Sew Crochet Octopus Amigurumi Pattern

You’ll learn to form the octopus’s body and tentacles with just basic crochet stitches. There’s hardly any sewing involved, making it a hassle-free craft. Materials:

• Scissors
• 3.5 mm crochet hook
• Darning needle
• Stitch marker
• Five-ply milk cotton yarn
• Stuffing

Pattern:

Round 1: Magic Ring

• Make a magic ring.
• Chain 1.
• Make 6 single crochets (sc) into the magic ring.
• Pull the tail to close the ring.

Round 2:

• Make 2 sc in each stitch around (12 sc).

For Round 3:

• 1 sc in next stitch, 2 sc in next stitch – repeat around (18 sc).

Round 4:

• 1 sc in next 2 stitches, 2 sc in next stitch – repeat around (24 sc).

Rounds 5-11:

• Sc in each stitch around (24 sc).

Round 12:

• Sc in the back loops only of each stitch around (24 sc).
• Turn the project inside out.

Round 13:

• 1 sc in next 2 stitches, decrease (front loops only) – repeat around.

Crochet Octopus step

Stuffing:

• Insert stuffing into the octopus body.

Round 14:

• 1 sc, decrease – repeat around.

Round 15:

• Decrease in each stitch around.

Legs:

• Join yarn in any front loop from Round 12.
