Instructions

Head and Body

  1. Round 1: MR, 7 SC into the ring. (7)
  2. Round 2: INC in each stitch around. (14)
  3. Round 3: [1 SC, INC] around. (21)
  4. Round 4: 1 SC, INC, [2 SC, INC] x6, 1 SC. (28)
  5. Round 5: [3 SC, INC] around. (35)
  6. Rounds 6-8: SC in each stitch around. (35)
  7. Round 9: 2 SC, INC, [4 SC, INC] x6, 2 SC. (42)
  8. Rounds 10-18: SC in each stitch around. (42)
  10. Place the safety eyes between rounds 9 and 10, separated by 5 stitches.
  11. Round 19: [4 SC, DEC] around. (35)
  12. Round 20: [3 SC, DEC] around. (28)

  14. Stuff the chick.

  3. SL ST to the first SC to join.
  4. Fasten off and hide tails.

Assembly

  1. Sew the wings between rounds 11 and 14, 5 stitches apart from the eyes.
  2. Use silicone or glue to attach the legs below the wings.
  3. Add blush just below the eyes if desired.

Heart

  1. Round 1: MR, 6 SC into the ring. (6)
