How To Crochet Taco And Burrito

Materials Needed

  • Medium weight yarn in tan, brown, red, green, yellow
  • Small amount of black yarn for the smile
  • 10mm safety eyes
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • 5mm crochet hook

Pattern Instructions

Magic Ring Instructions

  1. Take the yarn and wrap it around your hand to form an X.
  2. Hold the X in the middle.
  3. Insert your hook under one part of the yarn and over the other.
  4. Pull the yarn under the strand and twist it to form a loop.
  5. Pull it off your hand and chain one by pulling yarn through the loop.

  1. Start with a magic ring.

  5. Round 3: [1 sc, 1 inc] around (18 stitches).

Assembly

Taco Assembly

  1. Fold the tortilla in half and decide where the eyes and smile will be placed.
  2. Insert the safety eyes and sew on the smile using black yarn.
  3. Position and place the fillings (meat, tomato, lettuce, cheese) within the folded tortilla.
  4. Using the long tail from the tortilla, sew around the edge to secure all fillings inside.
  5. Weave in any remaining ends.

Burrito Assembly

  1. Fold the tortilla like a burrito wrap.
