Materials Needed:

Crochet hook
Yarn of various colors
Keychain ring or clasp
Tapestry needle
Scissors

Crochet Instructions:

Starting the Heart:

Make a Magic Ring.

Row 1: Inside the Magic Ring, do 6 single crochets (sc).
Row 2: Make 12 sc by doing 2 sc in each stitch from the previous row.

Increasing Rounds:

Row 3: 1 sc, 1 increase repeat 6 times (18 sc).
Row 4 and Row 5: Sc in each stitch across (18 sc).

Making the Key Chain Loop:

Chain 10 for the loop and optionally attach a keychain ring.
Insert the needle in the 6th chain from the hook and make a slip stitch, continue slip stitching back down the chain.

Continuing with the Heart:

Row 6: Join with the first part of the heart, make 14 sc, skip 3 sc at the end, attach the second part and make 14 more sc (30 sc total).

Shaping the Heart:

Row 7: Sc in each stitch (30 sc).
Row 8: 5 sc, decrease, 10 sc, decrease, 5 sc (26 sc).
Row 9: Sc in each stitch (26 sc).
Row 10: 4 sc, decrease, 8 sc, decrease, 4 sc (22 sc).
Row 11: Sc in each stitch (22 sc).
Row 12: 3 sc, decrease, 6 sc, decrease, 3 sc (18 sc).
Row 13: 2 sc, decrease, 4 sc, decrease, 2 sc (14 sc).
Row 14: Finish shaping by decreasing throughout the round until only 10 sc remain.
