ABBREVIATIONS

mr, sc n = magic ring- crochet n single crochet stitches into the adjustable loop.
Cs = chain stitch(UK-chain)
st = stitch or stitches
sl st = slip stitch (UK-slip stitch)
sc = single crochet stitch (UK-double crochet)
inc = increase =2 sc in one st
dec = decrease = two sc together.
(sc 4, inc) x n = repeat the pattern between parentheses n times.
[n] = the number of stitches in the round

CARROT

Round 1: mr, sc 6 = [6]
Round 2: sc in each st around =[6]
Round 3: (sc I, inc) x 3 = [9]
Round 4: sc in each st around =[9]
Round 5: (sc 2, inc) x 3 = [12]
Round 6: sc in each st around =[12]
Round 7: (sc 3, inc) x 3 = [15]
Round 8: sc in each st around = [15]
Round 9: (sc 4, inc) x 3 = [18]
Round 10-15(6 rounds): sc in each st around = [18]
Round 16: (sc I, dec) x 6 = [12] stuff firmly
Round 17: dec 5, sl st =[6]

Cut the yarn and fasten off.

LEAF make 3

Row 1: Cs II, starting from the second chain from the hook sc into the next 5 chains, sl st into the sixth chain, Cs 6, starting from the second chain from the hook sc into the next 5 chains, sl st into the next 5 chains at the beginning chain.

Cut the yarn, leaving a long yarn tail for sewing, and fasten off

ASSEMBLY

Attach all three leaves to the centre of the top of the carrot using a yarn needle.
