It’s getting close to the day of love and it’s also the start of my Share The Love month on the blog! This means a big giveaway coming soon and a guest DIY blogger every Friday.
If you like to treat yourself, your loved one or friends, why not take a look at these handmade Valentines gifts on offer in my Etsy store. There are a few items in the sale too!
There are limited edition Heart Friendship Bracelets available, each with a clasp and chain, so easy to wear and remove!
Custom orders are also available on request! We usually spend Valentines enjoying a nice meal together at home. I make sure to always buy a hand illustrated card and love to get creative with present ideas for G. I will be sharing what I made him after the day – it’s pretty awesome.
Happy Valentines Day to you all *insert heart eyes emoji*.
I spent last Saturday at From Cambridge With Love, a handmade and vintage market in the Guildhall. Christmas shoppers were out in their thousands and Cambridge had a great festive buzz.
I thought I’d share some photos of the wonderful sellers and my stall styling for you.
My pitch was the first stall as you entered the venue. Although I was placed just outside of the main part of the fair (with one other stall holder), it was the perfect spot as it meant I had a constant flow of shoppers. Lots of my lovely friends and some Twitter followers came to see me. Plus a blog follower – hello and thank you for stopping by!
The fair had a tea room run by the The Teatime Treatery with plenty of yummy cakes available.
I had no time for cake, but my Grandad told me the cream tea was well worth it!
Retrovert were there with their selection of vintage crockery, clothes and accessories. Sophie and her Mum persuaded me to add to my tea cup collection with the gorgeous gold handled one.
It was lovely to meet Rachel Thompson who offers these gorgeous mugs and tons of quirky prints of Cambridge scenes.
Miss Chaela Boo was there with her hand painted prints, cards and gift tags. Michaela was also offering stencilling workshops throughout the day.
Here’s my stall! I learnt that mini pegs and tape come in very useful for handling banners…..and free sweets go down well.
The floral hair slide sets sold out as stocking filler gifts.
I expanded my range of fabric covered button hair slides for my stall and may add the additional designs to my Etsy store soon!
I debuted some fabric brooches too, with the Russian Doll one going first!
Here’s me at work! I was lucky enough to have visits from G and my family so I was able to have quick loo breaks and do some speed shopping with G around the fair. We got some fab gifts for Christmas and of course gifts for ourselves too 😉
It was a great day and I was pleased to make a very healthy profit. Other opportunities have also come my way as a result of the fair, so watch this space!
I can’t sign off without mentioning these awesome sellers too…..
Harpers Bizzare who sell the most amazing scented soy candles, made with vegan ingredients. We snapped up the Bakewell Tart, Lemon Drizzle and Gingerbread candles (yeah yeah we like cake).
Daphne Rosa offer beautiful handmade fabric flowers. This was Kate’s first fair and her stall looked gorgeous.
I’ll be back on Friday with a peek inside the next issue of Crafty Magazine.
Initially, five word designs will be available, but I will also be accepting custom orders for 3 letter words or names. Brooches are £7.00 plus £1 for postage and packaging.
To my surprise, a TEA Brooch sold tonight! *Happy dance*
I want to thank all of you who took part in my giveaway and survey to determine which were the best phrases for the Scrabble brooch pins. It’s so valuable to have your feedback on what to create and I had a real giggle at some of your suggestions.
What do you think? And which phrase would you wear? I can’t decide on my favourite….
Toodles!
This week I was also lucky enough to get some great feedback from my customers including a lovely feature on the Duck In a Dress blog. Thanks Louisa!
As a thank you, I will be selecting one survey participant to receive a brooch pin of their own!
All you have to do is enter your survey response and comment below. Both steps have to be completed to be entered! I will draw the winner and announce here on Friday 26 July.
Update: This giveaway is now closed. I am pleased to announce the winner is Anna of Miss Beatrix!
Toodles!
