I get all kinds of excited when I find a new (to me) stationery and homeware brand.
Kikki.K is an Australian company with a great business story. A passionate Swedish born stationery lover started her dream from a one bedroom apartment, 10 years later and there are now 500 employees.
I try to buy from brands I believe in, but buying online is always a risk so I look for reviews and recommendations. Hence writing this today!
I couldn’t get my hands on the Mint Kikki.K Time Planner which sold out completely, so I found the rest of the collection and luckily there were sale items in the mint and pastel pink stationery ranges.
Large planners and notebooks come in gorgeous gift boxes.
The ‘Dreaming’ range was where I shopped for most items. This notepaper is going to be my snail mail letter writing pad I think.
Each page has a different design….bikes! SO me.
Some pages have quotes and pretty illustrations.
I decided on a Mint Leather A5 Notebook as I am starting a new photography course this week and of course I need a ‘back to school’ notebook!
It has a popper closure and sizeable pen loop, which I shall add my Kikki.K Dreaming gel pen to.
It is a refillable notebook which is great as the paper quality in this one was slightly thinner than I prefer. I hear this is the same in the sought after planner too.
I also went for a hardback mint journal in the Dreaming range which has gold detailing along the spine and page edges.
Once again, the pages inside are just lovely. Lots of colour and picture variation and ‘dreamer’ type quotes.
There are also some pretty homewares available. I am addicted to scented candles and usually prefer natural soy ones, but this candle jar was too cute to resist. I am not sure I have the courage to burn it so it may remain decorative.
The mint doily isn’t from Kikki.K, but actually from a local Etsy seller who has a beautiful shop.
I also snapped up some greetings cards as they were on offer. The paper/card quality is fantastic and they were so reasonable.
So there you have it, a mint/pastel stationery haul which I am totally loving so far.
One thing that was a bit of a sting is Kikki.k works out your cost in ‘local’ currency. For UK customers this is US dollars which is a slightly higher rate than AUS dollars. Also be aware of customs charges when delivering to the UK. I wasn’t prepared for that one!
I’m not sure how long we will be waiting for a Kikki.K shop in the UK, but if anyone is in Australia I would love to hear about the stores themselves and of course see a photo. For now we can shop online on the website.
Have you come across any stationery brands you love lately? Please share in the comments below. You must know by now how much of a stationery freak I am! Back Wednesday with an Etsy stationery video.
