I’m not going to lie, I have way too many creative supplies in the studio. I’m thinking about having a big Instagram sale again to destash. One of the supplies I have a lot of is yarn! So I decided to make a DIY Tassel Wall Hanging from some really lovely merino wool that I had left over from a knitted hat project.
This is a super easy project and you can do it with any yarn or rope material. Find the full DIY on the Homedit blog here. It definitely got me thinking about how I can create projects to use up the rest of my supplies!
What have you been creating lately? I’d love to see your projects.
Are you guys watching the Olympics?!! I cannot believe how talented Team GB are! The ‘Gold Rush’ has definitely inspired me this week to work towards my goals, but also to bring a little more gold into my life. You can never have too many metallics right?
I have been working on a simple DIY for this Gold Painted Crockery and I love how it turned out!
Come and take a look at the full tutorial over on the Homedit site here to see which surprising stationery supply I used to help me create the DIY Gold Polka Dot Mug and Gold Scalloped Bowl!
Porcelain paint is fast becoming one of my favourite supplies. The gold paint especially – it makes a £1 white bowl look really classy don’t you think? Check out the food safe porcelain paint brand I discovered here.
I hope you enjoy this gold DIY today! More to come this week when I share another painting DIY for enamel pin storage. My collection is finally on display and growing fast….

Lately, I’ve been trying to explore different areas of my creativity. I’ve been drawing in a sketchbook and recently I created an abstract canvas wall art using some acrylic paints and a sponge brush.
This DIY is so simple and it was a great experiment to create something a little bit different for the studio walls. Find the full tutorial on the Homedit site here if you fancy a go!
I’d love to know if there are any other DIYs you would like to see me try. I’ve also been working on a lino print stationery tutorial for the We Make Collective subscribers which was really fun. They are just about to announce the next box so do keep an eye on the website!
OK, so you guys know I love spray paint projects. Recently I found some amazing metallic spray paints in my local art store and I knew I had to combine it with a candle making project (mostly to use up my soy wax flakes!). So today I want to share a DIY for these Metallic Votive Candles.
The glass votives are actually from the pound shop! I love how much more expensive they look with a gold tone and copper gradient.
Find out how easy this candle DIY is by checking out the full tutorial over on the Homedit site here. And don’t forget to take a look at my spray painting Pinterest board too!
