Aren’t Dad’s the hardest people to buy for?! My sister and I have decided to get our Dad the cookies below for Father’s Day, because he loves lary socks! I also got him an awesome pair of socks from Craftacular last month.
Anyway, I decided to do a round up of some Handmade Gift Ideas for Father’s Day in case you need some inspiration! All the shops are linked below and I may have thrown some Claireabellemakes creations in there too, because they always sell well for Father’s day.
Wasn’t last week’s Black Friday madness in the UK supermarkets a bit uncharacteristic of the usual polite British public?! Aren’t we supposed to love queueing? Personally, I love to do my Christmas shopping online as it really makes things a whole lot easier and I can avoid the crowds and rude people!
In the second of my Christmas gift guides, I’ve picked some of the best handmade accessories from Etsy and Not On The High Street.
My Grandfathers are both pretty spectacular. One is 97 years old and is highly competitive at Dominoes and the other is an ex-ballroom dancer who I feel I inherit my positive (read silly) mindset from. Recently the latter celebrated his birthday and it got me thinking about handmade gifts for Grandads. Is it just me or are they pretty hard to buy for?!
I had a look on Etsy and Not On The High Street and thought I’d share some of the lovely handmade gift ideas I found. Not his birthday for a while? Bookmark them for later like I do on my Gift Ideas Pinterest board!
Each hankerchief comes beautifully packaged and is made from your choice of fabric. I love the personalised aspect as you can choose any phrase/word to be embroidered in the neatest stitches. Grandad’s love a big hanky don’t they?!
The items from Joanna’s store are beautifully packaged, but I couldn’t help but feel the box was slightly too big for the hanky as it was mostly packaging. But then I had the idea of adding a miniature whisky to the box as my Grandad loves a tipple, so it all worked out nicely!
Do you have any gift ideas for Grandads or the hard to buy for men in your life?

One of my big passions is discovering and giving handmade gifts. So when Uncommon Goods got in touch with me to help spread the word about their venture, I jumped at the chance.
Plus you guys have a chance of winning $50 to spend on the site!
Uncommon Goods was founded in New York back in the 90s. They focus on unique designs and handmade gifts with an environmentally friendly ethos. Most of the items are made in the US and around one-third of their entire collection incorporates recycled and/or upcycled materials. Pretty cool eh?! They offer tons of personalised gifts too, you can see the full range here.
The site has a great navigation and filter system so you can search easily and find handmade items here or gifts for women on this page. My favourite item has to be these Bike Chain Tealight Holders, how nifty are they?!
I discovered so many great products on the store from homewares to gadgets and I’m super excited as I get to give one lucky reader $50 to spend on the site. The giveaway is open internationally and entry is via the widget below. Good Luck!
