Boots Secret Santa £100 Gift Giveaway

I am in full on Christmas mode here! The tree went up in our house yesterday and we have been shopping as intentionally as we can for gifts and decorations.

Today I’m thrilled to share that I have teamed up with Boots for a Secret Santa  project! Keep reading and you can find out more about the £100 Gift Giveaway and who else is involved in this festive campaign.

Boots-Secret-Santa-Gift-Giving-Claireabellemakes-GivewawayFirstly, a few thoughts about gift giving. I don’t know about you, but I love a consumable gift or an experience – we have an abundance of ‘stuff’ in our house that I struggle to find homes for!

Saying that, I am planning to buy lots of unique gifts from markets such as Etsy Made Local and Renegade for my friends, and have also been searching for gift sets and food items from the high street for neighbours and the postie. They all deserve a gift over the festive season and I feel strongly about supporting small businesses and high street shops to keep both going! You know me, I’ll probably get making for some handmade gifts too and I am joining in a few Secret Santa groups in the online community. Mostly just for fun and because it fulfills my obsession with sending mail and creating special packages.

As part of the Boots Secret Santa project, 10 bloggers are selecting gifts for one another. I got to choose a mystery gift for the lovely Chloe from the Christmas gifts for her section on the Boots site. We are all sharing on Instagram using #BootsSecretSanta so you can see what gifts we end up with!

Boots-Secret-Santa-Gift-Giving-DecorationsI mentioned a giveaway didn’t I? The lovely folk at Boots are also giving us all mystery gifts to share with our readers – worth £100! All you need to do is enter using the widget below and check out my Instagram posts to see what I receive.

3 DIYs For Uni-ball Pens & a Giveaway!

If you have watched this video on my YouTube channel, you already know about my rainbow pen obsession. So when uni-ball got in touch to ask me to share their new uni-Posca Pastel Packs, I couldn’t resist. Each pack contains Pastel Posca PC-5M pens (the paint pens that write on a ton of surfaces) and uni-ball Signo Pastel Ink pens – the dreamiest of gel pens!

BLOG- Uniball Pen DIYs and giveawayThe signo gel pens have an amazing pigment – I love love love these pens and have used them constantly since they arrived. Posca paint pens are my go to for chalkboard writing and ceramics too.
Uni-Ball-Posca-Pens-Pastel-PackJust look at these colours!

The first project I used the pens for was a Bullet Journal page. I like to have a section on each weekly spread to doodle something that happened that week. I had seen a double rainbow on my trip to the craft store this week, so the pens were the perfect colour palette. Bullet-Journaling-Doodles-Gel-Pens

Using the gel pens in my bullet journal has been great as they dry quickly and do not show through each page.Pens-for-Bullet-Journaling

The next DIY was to decorate some pen and plant pots with the Posca paint pens. I went for a sprinkles pattern on this pot which is now holding all the pens too.DIY-Decorated-Pen-Pots

The paint pens dry pretty quickly too and you can build the colour by adding a second or third layer once dry. Posca-Paint-Pens-Projects

I also decorated these two cacti plant pots with a striped design.
Decorated-Plant-Pots-Paint-PensDIY-Painted-Plant-PotThe final DIY was to make some labels for my craft storage drawers. The gel pens were perfect for this, so I used gift tags and two colours on each one. Uni-Ball-Pastel-Gel-pens

These drawers are so deep I can fit tons in and now I know exactly what is in each one. I got them from Amazon from this seller if you’re interested. Shelving-Labels-UniBall-Pastel-Gel-Pens

Positive Products For Creatives

I love how positivity spreads through our creative community. Maybe it’s because I’m in the business of making positive products, but I have really noticed more and more happy products out there and I’m loving it. So today’s post is about sharing what I have found with you and also a little giveaway too! IT’S MONDAY AND WE NEED ALL THE POSITIVITY!

You Got This Wall Art from Claireabellemakes

It’s no secret I’m a stationery fan and today marks the start of National Stationery Week in the UK, so I’ll start with some goodies from eco-friendly company The Green Gables. These Cards of Encouragement are so super lovely for snail mail fans and I’d definitely be a fan of punching them for my planner. The Green Gables owner Gabrielle Treanor has also just realeased her new e-course which focuses on creating a happiness habit with gratitude practice.

You can also check out their stationery subscription box The Happy Paper club which I reviewed here.

Cards-of-Encouragement-The-Green-GablesContinuing the gratitude theme, I have been working the team at The Happiness Planner for the last two years to promote their absolutely beautiful planners and journals. I cannot recommend them highly enough and the 100 day undated planner has recently been released in a ton of new colours.

It is definitely worth keeping an eye out as their product range is really expanding and each planner release is more gorgeous than the last!

I’d also like to mention The Happiness Project book which I recently enjoyed (and reviewed here). It includes a lot of practical ways to address happiness and ensure your life has balance and meaning.

I’ve followed Laura on Instagram for a while now, but I adore Elsie and Nell‘s range of bags, banners, cards, stationery, cushions and jewellery all with a positive twist. They also sell a tote bag which tells the owner they are a “Goddamn Magical Unicorn”. If that’s not in your face positivity, I don’t know what is!

The always cheery Rachel of OH NO Rachio has a great range of positive products on offer. If you follow Rachel on social media (she’s the Periscope Queen!) you can often see her sharing sneak peeks of new designs that are in the works. Rachel will directly ask her audience for their opinions on new designs and I know that she has some more positive products on the way.

Creatives LOVE a cup of tea, so when I came across Positivitea I thought it would be a great one to share with you. Their teas focus on an ancient Indian philosophy for healing and living life in a positive way. And some of the flavours sound SO delicious!

The lovely Ruth at The Make Arcade has been working her socks off creating her ever popular craft kits. I tried the watermelon pin cushion kit which I made here and have loved these cheery products ever since!

Watermelon-Pincushion-KitThe Make Arcade recently teamed up with The Blurt Foundation to contribute to their Buddy Box which increases the awareness of depression and mental illness. Each box contains “thoughtful, mood-lifting treats” to give the recipient a “hug in a box”. Ruth designed this exclusive You Are Brave Cross Stitch Kit for the Buddy Box and has been kind enough to offer a kit for one lucky reader of this blog!

You-Are-Brave-Craft-Kit-The-Make-ArcadeYou will also win one of my new Motivational Pencil Sets because I know there are a ton of stationery fans reading and what better way to celebrate National Stationery Week!

Just leave a comment below and I’ll pick a winner a random on Monday 9th May at 9.30am BST. If you fancy sharing this post to spread a bit of positivity that would also be ace!

This giveaway has now closed and the winner was Kamen!!

5 Gift Ideas For Instagram Addicts

My favourite social media platform has to be Instagram. I love the visual side of it and the creativity community that is always offering inspiration, support and general loveliness. That got me thinking about 5 Christmas gift ideas for Instagram addicts, so that’s what I am sharing today (as well as a giveaway at the end!).

The first is a photo printing service from Cheerz. You can order a box of polaroid style prints directly from your Instagram feed with a variety of cool boxes to choose from. They are so down with the kids you can even order directly from their app. Easy!

One of my favourite cameras to play with is the Pink Fujifilm Instax. It prints minature polaroid style photos instantly. Perfect for nights out with friends! Pink-Fuji-Film-Instax-Camera

This is a cute stocking filler idea for people who are addicted to snapping pictures on their phone! The Devil’s eye Clip Super Fisheye Lens literally clips over your camera lens like a bulldog clip, giving a cool fish eye effect to your photos.
Mobile-Fish-Eye-Lens is a great company offering personalised photo wrapping paper. I did a review of their products last Christmas and had so much fun making my instagram gift wrap! This would be great for friends or boyfriends/girlfriends as you can put your memories for the year onto one big sheet!

The last gift idea is one for the crafty types. I am big into my Project Life scrapbook which is a great way for me to print photographs and document my memories. There is a ton of Project Life stuff on Amazon or you can even create your own journalling cards and embellishments.

I hope you enjoyed these photo gift ideas today. Now for the giveaway!

The lovely people at Cheerz have given me credit for boxes of photographs to give to 3 lucky readers! All you need to do is enter on the rafflecopter widget below and I’ll pick winners on 5 December at midnight. European entries only please as Cheerz cannot deliver internationally Good luck!
