Cambridge Craft Parties At Novi

This past weekend I ventured to a new venue in Cambridge to host a flower crown workshop for Cambridge Craft Parties. The workshop was a private booking for the lovely Laura who was on her hen do. I love how Cambridge has become a place to visit for celebrations like that and of course the girls had planned to go punting after their craft session with me!

For the party I worked with Novi, a super cool eatery on Regent Street. Not only does Novi have an amazingly cool interior (the brushed gold taps in the loo are ooooh), the food menu showcases local independents with pop ups, so it is always seasonal and incredibly tasty. I’d definitely recommend the Allotment Cafe pop ups if like me you live for brunch!

Glitter-Jar-For-ScissorsI set up in Novi’s upstairs room and waited for the fun to begin! The girls were eager to get started and showed much excitement about using a hot glue gun. I can totally relate, it’s a fantastic craft tool that I wouldn’t be without now. Within minutes a craftermath was created and flower crowns were taking shape! One of the lovely hens was wearing a splint due to a hand injury. She did not let this stop her and promptly set about crafting a ‘splint corsage’ in addition to her crown. Everyone’s creativity really came out and we had some dainty elegant flower crowns as well as some big and bold ones.

A big thanks to Novi for being a great venue and to the lovely group of girls. I love how it never feels like work to show people how to make things and I hear the girls wore their crowns for the rest of the day and into the evening!

I hope to plan some more craft parties that are open to the public soon so watch this space. If you are local and interested in attending a craft party, please get in touch and let me know what you might like to make!

Last Cambridge Craft Party For Summer

It’s been a busy start to summer here at Claireabellemakes HQ! I’m kind of laughing at myself for thinking July would be a chance to catch up. Could someone send me a cleaner and a gardener? You might have seen my studio mess on Periscope recently if you saw my recent broadcast there.

Anyway, I’m here to let you know that the last Cambridge Craft Parties workshop for the summer will be taking place next week.

All information is below and there are still tickets available. I’m so excited to be repeating the flower crown DIY as it went down so well last time!

Please note: this party will be filmed for promotional purposes. Do contact us if you have any queries!

If there are any parties that you would like to see in the future, do get in touch or leave a comment below. The autumn schedule is still being planned, but there will be yarn crafts and perhaps even some small business advice workshops if people would find that useful?

I’m also working behind the scenes on a possible craft party collaboration later this year. If it all works out it could be AWESOME! Watch this space.

Cambridge Craft Parties: Make A Marbled Clay Dish

The next Cambridge Craft Parties workshop is on Tuesday 30 June and there is still time to grab a ticket or two! We will be making these cool marbled clay trinket dishes, and maybe even some jewellery to put in them.

Tickets can be booked here and are priced at £20 each. The cost includes all materials and a goody bag of items from the Claireabellemakes shop.

Claireabellemakes-Craft-Party-Rhode-Island-30-June-2015If you’re not sure what a craft party involves, you can take a look at some photos and reviews of previous parties here. Once again we will be holding the party at Rhode Island – one of the coolest venues in the city for crafts and milkshakes!

If you are local to Cambridge , I hope to see you there for some crafty fun!

Cambridge Craft Parties – Pamper Night

For the latest Cambridge Craft Party at Rhode Island, we had a pamper night making scented soy candles and bath bombs. This time I was lucky enough to have my friend Lucinda attend, who is also a professional photographer. All photos in this post are by Lucinda and I want to extend a MASSIVE thanks to her for helping me set up and for capturing our fun evening!

Whilst sipping the most divine milkshakes ever, everyone made 2 bath bombs and 2 scented candles. We used essential oils in all different scents including chocolate, vanilla, rose, sandalwood and coconut. The room ended up smelling amazing by the end of the night!

Each crafter left with a goody bag which included some items from the Claireabellemakes shop. I absolutely love hosting craft parties as it never feels like work and everyone who attends is so lovely and enthusiastic.

Thanks again to everyone who came and to Rhode Island for being a massive support to my business! Please do check out Lucinda Price Photography if you are local and looking for photography services.

Do let me know if you’d like to see any bath bomb or candle tutorials here on the blog!

The next workshop for Cambridge Craft Parties will be held on 30 June 7-9pm and we will be making marbled clay jewellery dishes. More information and ticket booking pages can be found here.
