Stationery Lovers Christmas Swap

Stationery-Lovers-Christmas-Swap

It’s no secret I love stationery, so today I bring you an exciting project: the Stationery Lovers Christmas Swap! I’ve teamed up with my fellow stationery addict and book blogger Emma from Mab is Mab to organise this swap for stationery fans. The idea is to create a package of papery goodness to send via snail mail as an early Christmas treat. Think notebooks, pens, stickers, planner accessories – basically anything goes!

All the details for sign up are below, but please do ask in the comments or on Twitter if you have any queries!

  •  Sign up by emailing stationerylovers@gmail.com including your name, full postal address (including country), email and stationery likes and dislikes. Also include whether you are absolutely happy to post internationally. We would love to know if anyone is willing to be on the reserve list for international posting in case we have to switch some partners around! The deadline for sign ups is 21 November.
  • You will be emailed details of your swap partner by 24 November.
  • 24 November – 6 December is the period for you to get shopping and find some stationery treats for your partner! Be creative and enjoy! Although it’s a Christmassy swap, all stationery items are just great! The suggested spending limit is £10 before postage costs.
  • Post your package by 6 December and be sure to add the hashtag #StationeryLoversXmas to your parcel. We recommend getting a proof of postage too.
  • Once your receive your package, shout about on social media using the hashtag and feel free to blog about the swap to share the stationery love! The swap graphic from this post can be used if you wish!
  • Please let us know if you are unable to take part for any reason, so we can ensure every person receives some happy mail regardless!
  • Any queries can be directed to Emma or Claire via stationerylovers@gmail.com

Custom DIY Phone Case

Custom DIY phone case

I get pretty bored of my phone case and like to switch it every now and again. So today I’m sharing a little Custom DIY Phone case I did this weekend.

Here’s the before pictures, it’s a sweet leather phone case/purse from Accessorise with detachable strap. All it can fit is your phone and maybe a few coins/cash card.

I glued a red rose cabochon onto the front popper fastening, which came from the Crafty Creatives Box 11. Then I stitched a very quick strap with some red fabric and used the clip already available.

A super fast way to customise a case for my Android phone. What do you think? I like to customise my accessories so I don’t have the same items as everyone else.

Speaking of accessories, I fully updated my Etsy Store this weekend and there are some more goodies on offer! Take a looksie here.

My favourite new item is the Lucky Dip Jewellery Bag! The precise contents are a surprise, but it includes a necklace and ring. A fabulous bargain at just £7 (and free postage in the UK) as the necklaces usually retail at around £7 and the rings at £4.00!

What did you all get up to this weekend?

Disclosure: I was sent the phone case to customise and share on behalf of 3 Mobile.

I have a super giveaway for each and every one of you today courtesy of Printed.com. I discovered Printed via my subscription to the Crafty Creatives Box, as they use them to have stickers and cards printed.

Printed support small businesses such as Claireabellemakes* offering products, including business cards, leaflets, stickers and much more. It’s super easy to order online & the customer services team are so friendly.

I recently ordered some stickers for my Etsy shop packages and a fabulous vinyl banner for markets, which I really just want to put on the wall in my house because I love my logo so much! The quality is fantastic and the eyelets will make it easy for me to hang it professionally.

Cam Blog Meet Part I

Cam Blog MeetCam Blog Meet

This weekend was the inaugural Cam Blog Meet! After a couple of weeks of excitement, the day had finally arrived to meet with some fellow Cambridge Bloggers and some from further afield.

Planning began a few weeks back with a secret goody bag organised for each attendee. Putting these together was so much fun! Cam Blog Meet

Co-hosts Rachel, Stacie and Harriet travelled from Southampton, Bedfordshire and Isle of Wight respectively, to spend a day in Cambridge, eating lunch, drinking cocktails, chatting blogs and being tourists. Days before were filled with texts and tweets of excitement and travel plans.

Cam Blog Meet

The goody bags were filled with some fantastic items, all perfect for the creative blogger!

I’d like to thank the following brands and companies for supporting the event!

Crafty Creatives , Homemaker Magazine, WashiTapes.co.uk, Printed.com, Graze, Tea Pigs, Dex Diva, The Sheep Shop, Stacie Swift Illustration, Ohnorachio, Harriet Gray, Lush Cambridge and Ta Bouche bar.

Attendees also received a little treat from the Claireabellemakes shop in their bags 🙂

Cam Blog Meet

Despite the long journeys for some, the day went well with lots of chatter and networking. People shared their blog photography tips (balanced on a chair on one leg anyone?!) and even workout tips – who is doing the 30 Day Shred now on Rachel’s advice?!!

I’ve had a nice two weeks of family time, crafting and working hard for the shop. I’ve been feeling a little unmotivated in other areas of my life lately, so I’ve decided from now, I am gonna get my butt in gear and work towards a better life balance. Wish me luck!

One last thing, a thanks to Cybele and Clare for the lovely blog nominations this week! Please check out their blogs over at Stitch One Knit Too and Lottie of London.
