January Favourites 2016

I like to start my favourites posts by sharing my favourite experience of the month. Right now we are on holiday with G’s family enjoying Center Parcs and we’re having a great time. I’m so grateful I get a chance to take time out which is already ticking off my self care goal for 2016 (see the rest of my goals here). I am trying to relax as much as possible.

Now onto the ‘things’ that I’ve been enjoying this month. My love for spray paint has not diminished. In fact it’s grown. These shiny metallic cans are going to be used very soon.

I’m super proud to share a new venture for the girls behind The New Craft House (formerly the New Craft Society). Hannah and Rosie have launched craft kits to make your own patchwork cushion or hand sewn knickers. Keep an eye on their website for details of workshops and events at their new London studio.New-Craft-House-Cushion-Kit

LOVING all stationery at the moment. As you all probably know by now. Very much enjoying these scissors and a pen that was gifted to me from the team at Kikki.K.

Next up is my mermaid glitter pouch from Pup Tart. I use it every day and keep my lip balm, meds, hand cream and essentials in here. So many people love the glitter when they see it. Pup-Tart-Mermaid-Glitter-Pouch

My winter skin care essentials have all been dry skin products. Cycling across open commons every day means I need these products in the winter! I’ve been slapping on my EOS Lip BalmClinique Moisture Surge and this Garnier Shea Butter Hand Cream in a bid to stay moisturised. It’s definitely mittens weather now yay! I’ve really been enjoying the free gifts with Mollie Makes magazine for the last two issues. Looking forward to practising my origami!
Mollie-Makes-Magazine Mollie currently have a deal to grab 3 issues for £5 which is great value.

Believe it or not, I’ve momentarily ventured away from my Cambridge Satchels and purchased this beautiful hand woven bag from The Basket Room with my birthday money. Each basket is woven in Africa to provide creatives with a sustainable income. This bag came with a note that said this is the kind of bag mothers in Africa gift to their daughters on their wedding day. I love it when there is a story behind a make.

One thing that hasn’t left my side since I purchased it with a gift card is this blanket scarf from Not On The High Street. Scarves that double as blankets are the best invention ever.Grey-Reversable-Blanket-Scarf

We’ve also been loving F is for Family, which was a random Netflix find and only 6 episodes long. Really funny if you don’t mind lots of curse words! Might not be everyone’s cup of tea mind. Should we be watching Making a Murderer next? I usually don’t follow hype, but I can’t stop hearing about it.

What’s on your favourite list this month?
