This year I’ve had too many DIY Christmas ornament ideas and haven’t had time to share them all! However, when Sharpie sent me a box of craft goodies to play with I knew I had to share some festive inspiration with you! I’ve been a fan of the Metallic Sharpie Markers ever since they launched and combining them with Christmas DIYs makes so much sense. Here’s what I got up to experimenting with some simple ornament ideas.
I’ve gone for a similar colour palette and aesthetic to my gift wrapping DIYs shared earlier this week. This Ho Ho Ho ornament was easily changed to metallic with a little silver Sharpie pen action. My inspiration for the next decoration was this beautiful gold Christmas calligraphy ornament which I purchased as a gift from G For Gina Designs.
These clear baubles are great for filling with sparkles and feathers. They are sold in most craft shops, but I found some on Amazon here.
The gold sharpie left a slightly transparent feel on the clear plastic bauble, but I still think it looked effective.
I also tried to give some kraft and wooden star decorations a gold makeover with the metallic Sharpies. These would make great gift wrap embellishments or tags. The Wooden Star Embellishments are going on my gifts this year I think.
So it’s fair to say my love affair with gold lasted the entireity of 2015 and came to a head for Christmas! It will probably continue into 2016 to be fair……#allthegold
If you enjoyed these DIY Sharpie Christmas Ornaments please do share them! I’d love to see if you have any similar ideas or if you try these out. I also tried a die cut ornament idea (gold again!) with my Sizzix machine, which you can see here.
Lastly, ONE WEEK TIL CHRISTMAS!!!
