I always like to start my favourites post, by sharing an experience I have enjoyed this month. As it was my birthday, the best thing I did all month was have afternoon tea at Sketch with G. Such a treat! You can read more about the afternoon tea and see all the photos in this post!
The remainder of my favourites are mostly lovely birthday gifts which I’m really grateful for! So consider this a little birthday haul post with some extras at the end.
My Mum gave me this glass bike ornament which she picked up on her travels around the Baltic earlier this year. I must keep Tammy away from this one!
My friend Jess gave me a sugar cookie candle which smells SO GOOD. I have been quite organised writing my Christmas cards this year (these cat ones are from Hello Harriet) and I always like to have a festive candle burning when I do them.
My pin collection has grown with the addition of this rose gold persian cat pin from Hello Harriet thanks to my friend Kate. My personalised biscuit pin is from the Lucky Dip Club box and the tea pot one from my friend Troy #pingame.
My wonderful sister gifted me this beautiful rose gold and grey watch from Olivia Burton. It has been on my wish list for yonks.
I nearly bought this Harry Potter Colouring Book for myself, but received it in the mail as a birthday gift, so I’m glad I didn’t. Can’t wait to get started on this one. I’m hoping for some down time over the Christmas break, but it depends how long my accounts catch up takes! I want to colour a pink Dobby ha!
G took me to Lush Oxford Street when we went to London to celebrate and I picked up some festive bath bombs and melts. The melting marshmallow moment (pink and orange) smells exactly like fruit salad sweets! Super gutted the snowman bath melt has been discontinued though, it was my ultimate fave.
At the Lucky Dip Club Meet Up earlier this month, we were given a Sun Jellies bag to take home. Mine is now being used to hold candy canes which I send out with orders and it has been decorated with the cherry pom poms I made on the night.
As I’m on a Slimming World plan (lost over a stone so far!), I decided to get a Yankee Candle Advent Calendar instead of chocolate. It smells so good without even opening the windows. A bit pricier than a chocolate version, but I wont spoil the diet any more (and I especially need to be good since that afternoon tea!).
I’ve been trying to support designer makers this year and got some of my Christmas presents at Renegade or Craftacular markets. I also got some fantastic hand lettered Christmas cards from The Lovely Drawer.
Finally, DMC were kind enough to send me some of their Natura Just Cotton yarn to try out and so far I love it! I’ve made some crochet dishcloths, but I’d love to hear any ideas you have for other things I can make. I have these purple tones and also some autumnal yellow and greens.
What have you guys been loving this month? It’s a busy week here with two Christmas markets to prepare for, but I’ll be back on Wednesday with a festive DIY I think you will love. Oh, and the studio is getting decorated for Christmas this year so watch this space!!!
