My overarching business goal for 2015 was to connect and collaborate. Most things that have happened for Claireabellemakes so far, have happened organically. For the first two years of the business, I had the financial freedom to let things evolve and to experiment as much as I could.
Now in the third year of business, Claireabellemakes has gained momentum and I have been more strategic and directed with my goals. Perhaps it has gained momentum because I took that approach. In 2015 I chose to meet other bloggers and creatives in person as much as I could, and it has been the best business decision I ever made.
This is how I am feeling today! I had a goal to pitch to someone I admire this year to work together. To my surprise they beat me to it and emailed me first! It is going to be ace when i can share with you all. Sorry to tease with secrets but all will be revealed soon I promise! Hope you are all having a super day ??
Earlier this year I joined local blogging group #CambMeetUp and my local Etsy Team in Cambridge. I attended Blogtacular and met some long term blogging friends in real life. I’ve taken on freelance work with a variety of publishers and I prepared to pitch to other creatives I really admired and looked up to. Basically I forced myself to be brave and put my business out there. So after that wordy introduction, I have two exciting collaborations to announce today! The first one relates to the Instagram post above. I am so excited to share that I have made some goodies for the August Lucky Dip Club box!
Super excited this morning! I have been working behind the scenes this month on some goodies for the August @luckydipclub boxes! The amazing @andsmilestudio has designed items for the box, and @benumade and I have some items in the raffle eeeeee! Also, there’s a Claireabellemakes goody in every box! ? Weeeeeee! ???? Working with Leona on this has been such a dream as she is THE BIZ WOMAN of the moment here in the UK. I honestly can’t believe how much she has nailed it in terms of the subscription box contents, customer service and general business amazingness. The Lucky Dip Club has grown from 100 boxes to 1500 in the space of a year and I’m super proud to be part of it this month.
My second exciting collaboration is with the We Make Collective. I’m really looking forward to my role as a We Make Contributor! If you’re not sure what the collective is all about, I urge you to follow their Instagram account and to check out the Kickstarter campaign.
We have yet another amazing blogger to announce as our latest contributor today!! I’m more than excited to welcome @claireabellemakes to the collective! Claire is one of the most hardworking bloggers I know and all that work certainly pays off! Let’s get to know her better ? (1/3) Who are you and what do you make? I am Claire and I make prints, cards and accessories in my store and stationery, home decor and lots more on my blog.
We Make Collective is an idea created by the super inspiring Fran, of the blog Fall for DIY. If you like trying new crafts and are keen on kits – they are well worth checking out. Stay tuned for some We Make Collective content coming to the blog soon!
Thanks for letting me share my exciting collaborations with you today. I feel so lucky to be working with such amazing creatives and I am looking forward to learning as much as I possibly can.
I hope you’re all enjoying the weekend. I’m working hard in the studio, but not without Tammy for company!
