My studio has been out of action lately. Largely due to the huge mess that was left by someone. That would be my own fault then.
Anyway, this weekend I actually had a day where I wasn’t running around like a headless chicken. I forgot what those were like. I finally got my eyebrows waxed. I ran errands. G went to France on his company holiday (lucky thing) so I got tidying. For some reason I’ve become SO MESSY in recent years. I can’t seem to tidy up between projects and it just escalates.
Getting the studio back in order meant I could get down to some work and have a little rearrange of the desk.
Card rack – HEMA / Pencil pots – IKEA / Lamp – John Lewis / Pegboard – Amazon
Print – A Beautiful Mess / Plant cage & Stationery basket – Tiger
I ADORE peony season, so have had a vase of them in the studio every week. I just love how soft and papery the petals are. They are the type of bloom that looks just as beautiful before they open too.
I’ve been trying to have a rearrange to make my packing supplies easier to access when shipping out orders from my shop.
These Blog Life postcards aren’t in my shop as I just post them to blogger friends when I feel like sending some snail mail. If you’d like one, just send me an email with your address and I’ll pop one in the post for you!
I recently gave up on my Filofax A5 Turquoise Domino and moved back into my Lilac Kikki K Time Planner. The Domino was annoying me as it didn’t have enough pockets inside for sticky notes and the one large pocket it had inside the front cover was so loose everything would fall out.
I may have also ordered the new Kikki K Perforated Planner in blue! Expect a review when it arrives. For now I’ll stick to my lilac planner. 6 ring binders make it so easy to switch in and out when something isn’t working.
I’ve been playing around with some new craft supplies, one of which is Liquid Leaf Gold metallic paint. It’s not cheap but it is amazing. I got mine in my local art shop, but you can find it on Amazon linked above.
It was perfect to edge my marbled clay trinket dish which I made at a recent Cambridge Craft Parties workshop!
So that’s what I’ve been up to in the studio lately! Determined to keep it tidy now. I think it might be time for a clear out, so perhaps a blog or eBay sale of craft supplies is in order……
Don’t forget you can see a full tour of my studio here. I might do a video tour soon if you guys would be interested?
