UK handmade fans were up bright and early last week to try and grab one of 300 Lucky Dip Club Folksy boxes that went on sale at 7am. I managed to get one, but the website crashed under the huge demand and the boxes sold out in minutes #TEAMHANDMADE.
If you’re still waiting for your box and don’t want the surprise ruined, I suggest you read once you have opened yours – SPOILER ALERT!
Each box has a zine which includes a message from Leona (the genius behind the Lucky Dip Club concept) and this time it included a message from the Folksy Team and a blurb on each designer.
The box was a lucky dip of 5 products. The full list of designers can be found here.
I received the cutest ceramic ice cream from Little Birdy Crafts.
A Make Magic card from Lucky Dip Club which I will likely use for scrapbooking.
I was super psyched to get some cheerful postcards from Bread and Jam.……
….and an adorable silkscreen print of an ice cream van by Bel’s Art World.
I adore I am Acrylic’s creations, so I was really excited to see this carrot pin in the box. Their pieces are all cut by hand – these guys are killing it on the handmade scene at the moment.
I like that the box introduced me to some new makers I hadn’t heard of too. Red Hang Gang included the cutest kawaii designs.
I paid £25 for the box which included £40 worth of quality handmade/designed items. I’m so chuffed with the selection I received and as ever, the delivery was super quick.
I also subscribe to the monthly box from Lucky Dip Club (Leona now puts together around 1100 boxes every month!), but there are one-off boxes and individual items available on the website here.
I do hope Folksy will be doing another one of these boxes again soon. It’s great to see UK designer makers being celebrated!
