Cambridge Craft Parties – Flower Crowns

This weekend was filled with flowery fun, good company and delicious milkshakes. It was the first Cambridge Craft Party to be held at Rhode Island and we spent the rainy afternoon making flower crowns.

I enjoy the setting up as much as the party itself! Decorations were from Tiger.

Each attendee had a Claireabellemakes goody bag and a handmade name pin.

Rhode Island was the perfect venue and the live musicians and waitresses even modelled our crowns!

There were plenty of bright flowers to get people in the summer festival spirit.

There were some really pretty arrangements in progress as people got ready to use the hot glue gun – some for the first time!

Here is Laura with her finished crown, looking super lovely!

These ladies had travelled all the way from Great Yarmouth in Norfolk to join us. Three generations of crafters – a mother, daughter and grandmother trio! How gorgeous are their flower crowns?

Here is everyone modelling their creations! I love how some people have gone really big whilst others have kept it simple and dainty.

Special thanks to Rhode Island for being an amazing venue and to my local blogger pals Pippa, Lisa and Laura for their support. Please check out their blogs if you get a moment.

Details of the next Cambridge Craft Parties can be found here. Bookings are being taken for a pamper night of bath bomb and candle making! In the meantime, here’s a video of our crafternoon and the flower crown making in action.
