May has brought some lovely things my way including sunshine, showers and walks along the river. When the sun comes out in Cambridge it is definitely my favourite place to be. Everywhere is so green in the Spring!
Not a new purchase, but I’ve really been enjoying my Cambridge Satchel Company shoulder bag lately. It doesn’t fit my planner, but I like to carry it for brunch and coffee dates.
The warm weather makes me want to drink iced tea and frappuccinos. The mango tea one from Starbucks is the best.
I’ve been enjoying blackberry and apple smoothies for breakfast a few days a week – toast gets a bit boring sometimes and I can’t eat porridge oats booo! I usually put some Total 0% fat greek yoghurt into my smoothies as it is a great source of protein.
In the studio I’ve been experimenting with watercolours from Tiger and Pentel Aquash Water Brush Pens which I love (not pictured). Obviously I was a bit hungry the day I painted this!
At Craftacular I was able to do a quick bit of shopping in between work so I stocked up on my favourite handmade hair products. Hairy Jayne makes this awesome hair perfume which also acts as a frizz and heat protector spray. I also picked up an East Wick candle in Peppermint and Eucalyptus. I love how minimal and slick their branding is and the candles smell soooo good.
My stall neighbour Pup Tart had some gorgeous marbled paper for sale so I snapped up a couple of rolls for future bookbinding projects. The colours are beautiful, don’t you think?
And my final favourite is You Tube! I’ve been having such fun creating content for my channel and it’s great to learn some new skills. Here’s a behind the scenes studio video I made last week.
June is set to be ridiculously busy so I hope to be able to keep up with the blog, life and my day job. G returns home from his long trip away this weekend so I’m really looking forward to that. I think that will be my favourite thing ever.
