Spring has been teasing us this month in the UK. We’ve had some sunny (but cold) days. We’ve enjoyed walks at the weekend and trips for a coffee or two.
G got me this sparkly coffee tumbler for my birthday last year after I dropped numerous unsubtle hints.
Last night we saw The Theory of Everything. It was incredibly moving film and so wonderful to see our home city on the big screen. One thing it left me with was a sense of pride. My day job is working with leading scientists at the University of Cambridge and the film reminded me to appreciate the history and importance of my workplace. My job plays a small part in helping the research in Cambridge and it was inspiring to be reminded of the significant discoveries that have been made here.
I was so pleased to see Eddie Redmayne recognised at the Oscars for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking. He was extraordinary. See it if you haven’t already.
In the studio, most of my favourites have been paper products. The A Beautiful Mess Happy Mail subscription continues to knock all other stationery subs off the top spot. In my opinion anyway! This gold foil print would look great framed. You get so many cards and paper goodies for just $15 per month. I love the tick box cards, so cute.
I have been practising some hand lettering in an attempt to improve my hand writing for my Project Life scrapbook. This calligraphy kit was a little treat I used an Etsy voucher for. I’m a bit behind on my calligraphy learning, but I’ll definitely be making use of these resources soon.
Fellow blogger Jenny has started a craft kit subscription box service called Crafty What Nots. The February box was full of heart themed paper goodies including personalised and handmade quilling tool and supplies to make a heart garland.
Most weekends have been spent in the studio writing lots and drinking (Rhubarb and Custard) tea. I have some new projects on the go for 2015 which has meant lots of planning and organising.
What were your favourites in February?
