Getting Festive

It’s been a tough weekend here. We had a family bereavement and I had a stomach bug, so I’ve not felt too festive or cheery. However, over the last week I have managed to get the tree up (amongst packing and delivering orders) and I found a few brief moments to do some Christmas crafting.

I made a DIY Christmas jumper with a crochet snowflake and white pom pom decorations. Thanks to Boohoo for sending me a jumper to DIY! Excuse my bags I’m pretty exhausted.

Putting the tree up is always fun as I love getting the handmade Christmas decorations out. This is a new one I picked up at Renegade from Designosaur. They call them ROARballs! Santa is a T-rex of course.

Designosaur-ROARball-decoration I also got another cheery wooden Christmas decoration from Pygmy Cloud.
Pygmy-Cloud-Christmas-Decoration The wonderful Kate and Cat recently put on a Christmas Crafternoon Tea event in Cambridge which I was really excited to attend.

We had an amazing Christmas themed afternoon tea served on the most beautiful vintage china. Just my thing.Vintage-Teapot

Part of the afternoon was spent making a fabric wreath. I chose a gold and white theme. All we did was start with a wire form and then tied fabric pieces to it, so simple and effective!

I had to add pom poms too!

And finally Tammy has been getting into the Christmas spirit by laying under the tree and playing with Quality Street wrappers. She looks thrilled by it all, don’t you think?!

I’ll be back on Wednesday with a DIY for a simple glittery Christmas decoration.

I’d love a tutorial on how to make that beautiful wreath too – from what I can see its a lot of knotting 🙂 Beautiful though, and the pom pom is the cutest addition 🙂
