A Birthday Trip To Brighton

Last weekend, G and I took a trip to Brighton for my birthday (31 if you’re wondering). We hopped on the train for a weekend of seaside treats, craft fairs and far too much food.

Here are some photos from the weekend. We had amazingly warm weather (I’ve never had fish and chips on the beach on my birthday before!) and caught up with some friends over a cream tea.

We were so lucky to catch this sunset from the pier which made for the perfect weekend.

Brighton is such a different place to Cambridge that it reminded me we need to explore more of the UK. The people are an eclectic mix and the streets are filled with handmade goods, galleries and buskers. We also learnt that the town has an annual naked bike ride. All I could think of was how uncomfortable that must be!

We had a great weekend and even though I now have a mountain of work to catch up on, I’ll definitely be scheduling more fun time off in 2015.
