Wool Week 2013 – Free Knitting Classes

For Wool Week 2013 (14th – 20th October), The Campaign for Wool celebrates all things haberdashery with a week long series of Fashion Knitting Classes at John Lewis Oxford Street in London, hosted by the industries most contemporary knitters.

There will also be LIVE knitting all week in the John Lewis Oxford Street window as knitters stitch their way around a plain white living room scene transforming it into a woollen wonderland. Sounds pretty cool huh?!

Knitting collective Wool And The Gang believe fashion can be fast and sustainable, they bring ‘Men Only’ knitting classes to John Lewis for the first time. If Ryan Gosling can do it…they will be teaching beanie hats and chunky scarf knitting for men and children throughout their day.

Classes run from Monday – Saturday of Wool Week (14th – 20th October) and are totally FREE! You can visit www.campaignforwool.org for more information and email knitnation@thisismission.com to book.

Come on, you must want to knit a Christmas jumper?! I’m joining in from home by restarting the cable mitts which I frogged at the weekend.

  1. I love that there’s a week dedicated to knitting and it’s so cool that they’re offering free classes. I need to get back into my knitting and start a new project soon!
