UPDATE: Crafty Magazine is no longer in print.
It’s that time of the month again – the latest issue of Crafty Magazine is about to hit the shelves! The lovely folk behind the magazine have been kind enough to share a sneak peek into Issue 7 with me, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to show you guys.
I ADORE the cover. Autumn crafting for the win.
Issue 7 of Crafty comes with a 32 page festive gift supplement, with 12 yuletide projects, ideas for wrapping your presents and a shopping guide if you need some inspiration this year!
How adorable is this crochet reindeer?! I love his podgy tum.
I hear there is also a needle felted polar bear project. I better work out how not to stab myself….
Look at this unusual chair! I have my eyes on that map print suitcase too.
It’s official. The fox is the new owl. I’m championing the Hedgehog to be the next crafted animal. Endless pom pom opportunities there I think.
What makes me most excited about each issue of Crafty is the styling. I think they get it spot on.
How retro is this lamp shade? Cross stitch is offically cool. Mr X Stitch says so in his monthly column.
Festive crafting is totally my thing. With doilies and it’s near perfect. And cinnamon sticks and bakers twine too?! Please.
I can’t wait to get my hands on this issue. Crochet designer and photo shoot styling queen Kat Goldin has a column this month. Keep an eye out for her joint venture The Crochet Project with Not So Granny which launches it’s second issue soon. More info here.
There’s also an interview with the ever creative girls from A Beautiful Mess about their new photography book. I guess it’s going to be pretty inspirational like everything else they do.
Lots of competitions this time as well, including all the books reviewed by Crafty, brooches from Sweet Bestiary and cross stitch kits from What Delilah Did, as well as £300 worth of wool, books and crochet hooks so you can all make moustaches for Movember.
Crafty Magazine is out on October 10th and is available in all major supermarkets, WH Smith, Hobbycraft, independent retailers and on the Moremags website.
EDIT: I have since found that the Crochet Plants project I am involved in through my WI, has been featured in this issue! We are so excited about installing the work in the next couple of weeks and I’ll be sure to share photos once it is on display. Also, I helped to style this shot which was taken by one of our talented WI members.
Toodles!
I love that reindeer. So wish I could crochet!
I adore that reindeer, totally in love. Is the pattern for him in the mag Claire?
Yep! He is in the festive supplement 🙂
I love the crochet doily Christmas tree. Such fine work. Thanks for the heads up!
So many fun things!!!! And agreed – the fox is definitely the new owl! And I love it! Hedgehogs are cute too though 🙂
I have this issue – I am a big fox fan and the cover is gorgeous (as is everything else!)
