It’s been a while since I shared any completed crochet projects, but I am pleased to say that August has been a month of digging into the WIP basket and finishing them!
I made this Itty Bitty Bunny from issue 2 of Simply Crochet Magazine for my cousin’s new baby, Fletcher. I used Rico Baby Cotton Soft DK which I purchased from the Yarn and Craft Shop.
Back in June I hosted the Etsy Craft Party where we began crocheting baby blankets for the intensive care unit at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. Debbie Bliss had kindly donated yarn for the project, so I used the Baby Cashmerino and crocheted the bobble stitch.
Continuing on the baby theme (I hadn’t realised all my makes were for the teeny ones!) our WI group Cambridge Blue Belles decided to enter a competition at the local fair to present a baby basket of handmade items.
So after all the many makes for little people, I have started my first crocheted garment for an adult. I’m making this Cream Crochet Jumper from Issue 9 of Simply Crochet Magazine for me! It was my holiday project, so I shall be posting an update on the jumper soon!
My yarn choice was the light grey colour of Navi Uno (2ply) purchased from The Island Wool Company.
I hope you enjoyed my crochet update today! If you would like to add me on Ravelry you can find me here. I’d love to see your latest projects and favourite patterns.
I feel as though I have really neglected knitting lately, so I soon will be casting on some hat projects in preparation for Christmas presents. Oops I just said the C word, I better go…..
I’ll leave you with a link to my yarn projects board on Pinterest!
