I’m so thrilled to welcome my second guest to the blog this week, Erica from Caught On A Whim! Her blog is filled with pretty DIYs and heaps of craft inspiration, so make sure to add it to your reader!
Hi guys! My name is Erica and I blog over at Caught On A Whim. I’m obsessed with DIYs and am excited Claire invited me to share this fun project with you today. I love jewelry with a personal touch and this monogram charm necklace gives you just that. Whether you make one for yourself or give one to someone special, this little gem is such a sweet accessory!

Ready to get started?
HERE’S THE HOW TO:
Â
Stuff You’ll Need:

Alphabet Stamps
Sculpey clay
Paint
Paint Brush
Thread, chain, or cord
Jewelry Clasp
Method:
1. Use a small amount of Sculpey clay and form a disc shape. Stamp a letter of your choice into the shape. Be sure to also poke a hole in the top so that you can string the charm onto the necklace later:

2. Bake the clay charm according to the directions on the package. Then, paint it gold (or any color you’d like):

3. All that is left is to string it on some thread, cord or chain, and add a clasp:

Now, you have a personalized piece of jewelry made just for you! Wasn’t that easy breezy?!
These sweet necklaces also make thoughtful gifts!

Thanks for crafting with me today, guys! And, thanks again to Claire for having me over.
Be sure to drop by my blog for more fun crafty projects!
