When the personalised gifts company Bags of Love contacted me about reviewing one of their products, I instantly started snapping photos and looking through my image files.
Bags of Love create custom gifts from your photos and designs. I love taking photos with my Canon (400D) and had a blast figuring out which photo to use and what to have it printed on…..there are 250 things available!
I could choose from bags, canvasses, home furnishings, books, calendars, fabric, ribbons. Wait, FABRIC?!! That was it, mind made up. I started by taking photographs of my favourite craft items and decided on a collection of blue buttons as my image.
The list of fabric types to have the photo printed onto is huge! I chose a digital textile print tiled onto polycotton sheeting, with the idea of using it as a cover for boxes in my craft space.
The print is large and the colours have come up really bright – pretty impressive from a photograph.
I hemmed the edges to neaten and promptly decorated my craft table. What do you think? (It now hides some unsightly plastic storage boxes underneath!).
All fabrics are £39 per square metre and the gifts are made and delivered within 2 days, speedy! I could definitely get carried away personalising lots of other items on their site including the personalised ribbon and custom deckchair! I’ll be hunting through my photo albums for a while now….
You can like Bags of Love over on Facebook here.
What item would you choose to personalise?

Disclaimer: Bags of Love sent this fabric to me for review; however, no other compensation was received and all thoughts and opinions in this post are entirely my own.
On a separate note, I also just want to take the time to thank three people who nominated me for blog awards this week! I was completely chuffed to be recognised by my fellow bloggers and would love it if you could check out their latest goings on:

I am amazed at how well this has come out – so simple but very effective. I love it. Lucky you getting this to review
Mini monster spotted!
What a great idea! I like that you chose to do something different rather than have a photo printed on it.
I really like how you’ve turned the fabric into a table cloth. Splendid idea. If I was replying to this a few weeks back I would have chosen the deck chair as for my final Photography submission I printed my images onto cotton and then stitched them onto a deck chair!! However, I do quite fancy the customised ribbon!!

It really brightens up your craft space and the colours are amazing considering it’s from a photo – how long will the space stay that tidy for though?!! x
Ah you know me too well. I wont show you a current picture of my dining room table (craft stamps, paper, thread, ironing pile, photos etc everywhere). x
This really awesome! What a great idea. Have you seen a tutorial thats been doing the rounds – turning a handwritten recipe into a teatowel? You could do that easily with this!
I haven’t seen that, but it sounds fab! *off to hunt the internet*

Such lovely fabric in what looks to be a lovely crafting space! x
This came out great!! TFS!! Stopping by form The DIY Dreamer linky party. Here is what I shared this week: http://craftybrooklynarmywife.blogspot.ca/2012/07/bow-pleated-purse.html
Oh very, very cool – I love the fabric you made! I have been using Spoonflower for personalised fabric, and they are great. But as they are based in the USA it takes a long time to receive the fabrics – this sounds like a great way of getting a speedy personalised fabric fix!
I am both in awe and envious of your incredibly well-organised and pretty craft table!
Underneath the craft table hidden in boxes are messy fabric, button and paper stashes!
This is soooo COOL!!! Soooo unique!!
Thanks so much for sharing this at The DIY Dreamer.. From Dream To Reality!
This is amazing! I would love to make my own fabric! Do you know if they have this offer for the United States, like do they sell their stuff here?
They do offer international shipping, but the cost varies. Take a look here:
Not sure if you have also heard of Spoonflower? However, this seems to be more for fabric designs rather than photographs. http://www.spoonflower.com/welcome
It was really fun making my own fabric! Thanks for visiting my blog x
